The activities of the Secretariat for Coordinating the Peace Process
(SCOPP) came to an end Friday. SCOPP Secretary General, Prof. Rajiva
Wijesinha said Friday in a farewell message that the armed forces
have not received enough recognition for the work they have done for
the people in the country.
He thanked the armed forces for their commitment in ending the war and
bringing peace to the people of the country.
“They have maintained discipline and courage in their humanitarian efforts to rescue people, to protect them, and to rebuild the country. They must be acknowledged for their efforts,” he said.
