4 Tamil youths arrested in Up-country

Sri Lanka police took into custody four Tamil youths in a search operation Wednesday morning in Bogawantalawa and Kotagala in the up-country where Tamils live predominantly. Two of the arrested youths are from Jaffna, relatives of the youths said.

Two of the arrested youths are from Jaffna, relatives of the youths said. The youths were arrested as they were travelling in a vehicle, the police said. Meanwhile, many Tamils were subjected to severe interrogation during a similar search conducted in Talawakela in the up-country.
