JVP office attacked by government supporters[TamilNet, Saturday, 26 December 2009, 03:21 GMT]A group of persons believed to be supporters of the ruling United Peoples' Freedom Alliance (UPFA) had attacked the political office of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) located in Katugampola Thursday night, a JVP party spokesman said in a complaint to Pannala Police. The building was extensively damaged and the power supply was completely disrupted. Pannala Police is conducting inquiry.
