The Colombo Police Friday morning arrested a UNP Colombo district candidate, Susil Kindelpitiya, over a complaint lodged by a woman last night alleging sexual abuse and harassment, Police spokesman S.P Jayakody told Colombo media.

The suspect was working in the MTV television station as news editor of Sirasa, Sinhala unit. He resigned recently from the MTV to contest the general election on the UNP ticket.
