OIC Siran Perera said that the paramilitary men who had broken into houses and shops in Kalmunai Kudiyiruppu, Chaainththamaruthu had stolen cash, jewelry and goods worth millions of rupees, two weeks ago.
Some members of the Civil Vigilant Committee formed to stem these crimes themselves are found to have used their official identity cards to commit crimes which they are supposed to eradicate, he added.
