Gotabhaya appoints new military spokesman

Brigadier Ubaya Madawela has been appointed Sri Lanka's Military Media Spokesman replacing Major General Prasad Samarasinghe. Sri Lankan Defence Ministry sources said that Major General Prasad Samarasinghe had been earlier appointed as media spokesman on temporary basis.

Prasad Samarasinghe has now been appointed as the Director of General Research and Development in the Defence Ministry.
