458 Sinhala students to enter Eastern University next academic year

Of eight hundred and forty two students to be admitted to the 2011 academic year of the Eastern University four hundred and fifty eight are Sinhala students. Except the Arts Faculty, Sinhala students are to be admitted to all other faculties, university sources said Thursday.

Except the Arts Faculty, Sinhala students are to be admitted to all other faculties, university sources said Thursday. The breakdown of the figures faculty wise follows: Biology-273, Commerce-130, Agricutlre-228, Physics-336, Medicine-50, Management Studies- 103, Nursing-50 and Arts-108. Five hundred and seventy five of the newly admitted students have registered them with the Eastern University management, sources said.
