Auto driver dies in accident in Batticaloa

The driver of a three-wheeler died on the spot Saturday afternoon at Murakkoddaancheanai along Batticaloa-Vaazhaichcheanai road when the vehicle crashed against an electric post. Three women occupants were seriously injured and are warded in the Chengkaladi government hospital, police said.

The victim was transporting the women to the office of an employment agency to be sent to a Middle East country.
