Six UNP MPs support Rajapaksa's 18th Amendment[TamilNet, Wednesday, 08 September 2010, 13:29 GMT]Six parliamentarians of the main opposition of United National Party (UNP) crossed over to the government benches while the debate on the 18th amendment to the constitution was in progress Wednesday evening. The UNP MPs who crossed over to government benches were Monaragala District MP Lakshman Seneviratne, Polannaruwa MP Earl Gunasekara, Galle District MP Manusha Nanayakkara, Gampha District MP Upeksha Swarnamali, Kurunagala District MP Nimal Wijeysinghe and Kandy District MP Abdul Carder.
