TNA appeals people to be aware of betrayers in East

“People should be aware of persons who betray the Tamils for petty concessions of Sinhala chauvinists,” Tamil National Alliance (TNA) key person in Ampaa’rai district, Chelliah Rasaiah, the Executive Director of Kaarainakar Pushpa Social Development Society said in a meeting held in Ampaa’rai by TNA to create political awareness among people, sources in Ampaa’rai said.

“The Prethesa Chappais administered by elected Thamizh Arasuk Kadchchi (TAK) members are disregarded by Sinhala chauvinists in the development of the area. The Tamil members who represent Sinhala chauvinist political parties in the Eastern Province Council (EPC) who are unable to do anything about it continue to deceive the Tamils with false promises,” Rasiah further said.

“Some of these EPC members are engaged in deceiving the destitute Tamils particularly in Kaloayaa colonization scheme. Tamils who had been faithful to Tamil Nationalism should be very sharp in dealing with them,” he said.

“We should act as a untied force in the democratic struggle for our rights,” Rasiah appealed to the people.
