The body of an unidentified youth washed ashore in the Vavunathivu lagoon in the eastern district of Batticaloa this morning. Local fishermen found the body that was in a highly decomposed state.

Local fishermen found the body that was in a highly decomposed state. The youth was wearing shorts and a T-shirt. The police handed the body over to the Batticaloa hospital. The police said that the body could be that of an LTTE member.
