Two fishermen die in Thirukkoayil Sea

Two fishermen died Thursday morning when their boat toppled in the rough seas off Thirukkoayil in Ampaa'rai district around 5:00 a.m. The body of one of the victims, 58-year-old Sionnathamby Thanikasalam, was recovered and the other victim, 43-year-old Balakrishnan, was reported missing.

Both the fishermen, fathers of four children each, had left for fishing as usual though the sea was rough.

Search operations are underway to locate the body of other missing fisherman by the villagers with the assistance of the police.
