UPFA expects cabinet reshuffle

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa is expected to replace the incumbent SL Prime Minister D.M.Jayaratne with a new face in a new cabinet reshuffle expected at any time, UPFA sources in Colombo said.
Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa has already indicated his desire to reshuffle the cabinet after the first phase of local elections held last Thursday, UPFA sources further said.
Mahinda Rajapaksa's brother Basil, currently holding the post of Economic Development, is being mentioned in the political circles as the new SL Prime Minister.
Maithripala Sirisena and Nimal Siripala de Silva are also eyeing for the post, UPFA sources added.
