The Sri Lanka Army soldiers removed 18 weapons from the PLOTE's camp at Kovilkulam about three km south-east of Vavuniya town this morning around 10 a.m.
The weapons were originally issued by the army to the military wing of the PLOTE.
The Government was compelled to demand the partial surrounded of weapons from TELO and PLOTE following clashes between the two paramilitary groups in which several cadres and supporters were killed.
