Jaffna patients face increased checks

The security arrangements at the Jaffna general hospital have been severely tightened up since yesterday said outpatients and visitors.

Relatives and friends of patients and people seeking treatment are all thoroughly checked before they are let in they said.

Even food packets are being opened up and scrutinised said an irate visitor today.
