Blast toll rises

The latest victim of the Batticaloa bomb explosion yesterday morning is a Tamil male named Kulanthaivelu Suntharalingam, 48, said hospital sources.

Arulsabapathy, 58, of Batticaloa and another woman of about 50 years were killed on the spot, the sources added.

The body of the dead woman has not been identified yet.

All the three bodies are lying in the mortuary of the Batticaloa hospital, sources further said.

They added that, of the eighteen persons who have been admitted to the hospital, five were police personnel including two women constables.
