The key witness in the investigation in to the Chemmani mass grave, ex-corporal Somaratna Rajapaksha, will have to be flown to Jaffna again to identify graves there, legal sources in Jaffna said today.
Some of the grave sites identified earlier by Rajapaksha could not be located, and it has been suggested to the authorities to bring back him to Jaffna, the sources added.
According to Rajapaksha, hundreds Tamils killed by the Sri Lanka Army after it captured the Jaffna peninsula, are buried at various locations at Chemmani and Ariyalai near the northern town.
Investigators have found 11 skeletons at these sites.
