Explosion in Batticaloa rickshaw

A bomb went off in an autorickshaw this morning around 10.20 a.m. near the clock tower of the Batticaloa town.
The driver, identified as Bernard, and his passenger were killed on the spot.
Both legs of the passenger were blown off. He is yet to be identified.
The explosion went off when the autorickshaw (no. 201-5189) was about twenty yards from the Police checkpoint on the entrance of the Batticaloa town (white) bridge.
No civilians were wounded in the blast.
