Third bus bomb explodes in Colombo

Ten more people were injured when a bomb exploded in a bus at Kadawatte 15 km. away from Colombo at around 8.30 p.m. this evening, the police said. This is the third bus bomb to explode today.

The bomb exploded in the Kurunegale bound inter-city bus which started its journey from Colombo this evening, the police said.

A couple of hours earlier a bomb exploded in a bus at Banduragala in the Kurunegale District. That bus had also left Colombo this evening, sources said. At least 20 people were injured in that blast.

The first bomb exploded in a Batticaloa bound bus at Urugodawatte in Colombo city around 8.30 a.m. Three were injured in that incident.
