Ten Tigers killed in sea battle -VoT

The Voice of Tigers (VoT) said in its night news broadcast that 10 Liberation Tigers including five Sea Tigers were killed in the sea battle with the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to the radio, the following Sea Tigers died in the incident:

  • Suhanilaa (Kathiravelu Thayanithi of Jaffna)
  • Arivumangai (Vilvarasa Ratnakanthi of Trincomalee)
  • Sengannan (Selvarajah Iruthayraj of Jaffna)
  • Mathan (Palaniyandy Yogarasa of Kilinochchi)
  • Kilimoli (Kanagaratnam Tharsakumari of Jaffna)

    The others are:

  • Major Thavanathan (Shanmugam Puvanendran of Trincomalee)
  • 2nd Lt. Kalaithangan (Gnanapragasam Jeyakumar of Jaffna)
  • Lt.Nilanthan (Velauthan Karikaran of Jaffna)
  • Captain. Ranjithan (Krishnathasan Ranjthdas of Mannar)
  • Kesavan (Kandasamy Thanabalasingam of Batticaloa)

    The Wednesday morning broadcast by the VoT only gave the names of four Liberation Tigers.
