The Tigers also captured 3 assault rifles and ammunition from the Sri Lankan soldiers in this attack, the radio said further. Meanwhile, Liberation Tigers announced today in Vanni that Major Ilavarasan (Theiventhiran Theivaruban, Jaffna) was killed in the confrontation with the SLA in Vathiri on December 11.
