Three civilians wounded in SLA shelling

Three civilians, including a Grama Sevaka Officer, were wounded when Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers fired artillery shells towards Kaddaiparichchan in the Trincomalee District Thursday morning, residents said.

The name of the wounded Grama Sevaka Officer is S.Alagusundaram. The other two injured were Suthakaran (17) and Jegatheeswary (10).

The SLA personnel camped at Kaddaiparichchan launched this artillery attack today morning, residents told TamilNet sources.

Kaddaiparichchan village is about 5 km. south of Muttur town.
