Three LTTE members killed

Three LIberation Tigers were killed and 3 military policemen were wounded in a fire-fight at Uyilankulam, 14 km. south of Mannar around 10 p.m. Tuesday, security sources said.

The fighting erupted when a police ambush team opened fire at a group of LTTE members, the sources said.

The bodies of the LTTE members killed in the clashes and three T-56 assault rifles were recovered by the police. The wounded policemen were rushed to Anuradhapura hospital.the sources added.
