Solheim leaves after meet with President

Norwegian peace envoy Mr.Erik Solheim left Sri Lanka Monday evening after meeting Sri Lankan President Chandrika Bandaranaike, Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe, Minister Professor G.L.Peiris and Indian High Commissioner Mr.Gopalkrishna Gandhi, diplomatic sources said.
Mr.Solheim met President Chandrika on Sunday night and had discussions for over an hour, according to government sources.
He met opposition United National Party Leader, Ranil Wickremasinghe, Monday morning. Later in the afternoon he met the Indian High Commissioner and Minister Peiris.
Mr.Solheim briefed Mr.Wickremasinghe and Mr.Gandhi about the outcome of the talks he had with President Chandrika Sunday night, sources said.
