Two Tigers killed - SLA

The Sri Lankan army claimed that they had surprised and killed two armed operatives of the Liberation Tigers this morning around 10 a.m. while they were sleeping in a safe house in Madduvil, about eleven kilometers northeast of Jaffna town.
The army handed over the bodies of two persons to the Chavakachcheri Police this afternoon. The Police brought the bodies to the Jaffna general hospital this evening around 5.30 p.m.
One person, about 25, was shot in the head and the other, about 30, was shot in the chest.
The report of the Chavakachcheri Police to the hospital states that the army had recovered cyanide capsules and weapons from the dead persons.
