Search operation in Jaffna

A large area in the Waligamam division of Jaffna including Paashaiyoor, Koyyathottam, Aanaikotai, Thattartheru, Kokkuvil and Kalatti were cordoned and searched by the army form early morning until this afternoon, said sources in Jaffna.

The operation lasted from 6.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. No one was detained.

Security has been heightened in the Jaffna Municipal Council area during the past few days due to the presence of two ministers of the Sri Lanka Government.
