People should fight for peace -Balakumaran

A senior leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam Mr.V.Balakumaran addressing a press conference Tuesday at the LTTE Jaffna district political office said the time has come for the people to get out on the road to fight for peace.

He briefed the media about the current political situation and the present peace process. "We are prepared to work with all groups that are supporting our freedom struggle. We do not want to disregard people's wishes," said Mr.Balakumaran.

The international community has come forward to accept our freedom struggle which is based on just demands, said Mr.Balakumaran.

Jaffna district LTTE political head Mr.C.Ilamparuthi and activist Sutha also spoke at the briefing.

Mr.Balakumaran addressed a gathering at Kailasapathy auditorium Monday on current political situation in the island.
