The Mahanayake Thera of Asgiriya Chapter, Most Venerable Udugama
Buddharakita Thera, Wednesday appealed to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil
Eelam not to pull out from the ongoing peace talks with the United National
Front government, political sources in Colombo said.
The Mahanayake Thera has expressed concern over the decision of the LTTE to
suspend the participation in the peace talks.
"It is unfortunate that the LTTE has withdrawn from the peace talks with
the UNF government at a time when the people of all communities solely
depend on the success of the ongoing peace negotiations for the bright
future of the island," said the prelate.
