Villagers oppose new police station in community centre

Residents of Kudathanai in Vadamarachchi east division in Jaffna district have opposed the establishment of a police station in a community centre in the village, sources said.

The police, however, say that they would relocate the police station after finding a suitable location.

The management of the Community Centre also has raised strong objection to the request by the Police for occupying the community center which serves as a popular meeting place for village residents, sources said.
