Former Norwegian ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr.Jon Westborg, who is currently a special advisor to the Norwegian government on the peace process in Sri Lanka, Tuesday held wide ranging discussions with the political head of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), Mr.S.P.Thamilselvan, at the Kilinochchi political secretariat of the LTTE, Vanni sources said.

Mr. Thamilselvan said no decision was taken on any issues at the discussion, sources said.

Sources in Colombo said that Mr.Westborg's visit to the Vanni was to feel the pulse of the LTTE leaders regarding the proposed interim administrative structure now being drafted by the United National Front government, which is expected to be submitted to the LTTE leadership next week, and to brief them on the Sri Lankan government's stand on the proposed structure.
