The school is occupied by the Sri Lankan Army within the Palaly Army's high security zone.

A silver chain worn around the waist and a gold ring were also found with the skeleton. The skeleton was handed over to the Chunnakam Police.

Meanwhile, Indirani Ratnasingam, 39, of Punnalikkadduvan said during the inquest that she could identify the chain and the ring, and that it was her husband's skeleton.
