[TamilNet, Monday, 21 September 1998, 10:28 GMT]
The SLA rounded up the Jaffna main bus station and its environs this morning from 9 a.m to 9.30 a.m.

Sources said that the SLA acted on a tip off that a person suspected to be a member of the Liberation Tigers was at the bus station. No one, however, was arrested.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan Security forced Headquarters at Palaly in Jaffna claimed in a press note issued late last night that the two youth who were found shot dead in Karaveddi north (Kotrawaththai) were members of the Liberation Tigers.

SLA troops had heard shots in the area around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept.19. On a subsequent search they had recovered the bodies along with rifles, ammunition and leaflets.
