Eight Tigers killed

Eight Liberation Tigers have been killed since March 13, in three confrontations with the Sri Lankan Army and two accidental explosions, said the Voice of Tigers (VoT) in its night broadcast today.
The radio said Karunaaharan (Mayavan Thanenthiran of Jaffna) died in a confrontation with the Sri Lankan Army (SLA) in the Kilinochchi area today while Vilimainthan (Thirunavukarasu Ganeshvaran of Jaffna), died in a confrontation with the SLA at Manavaalam in the Manalaaru on March 13. The radio further said three Tigers were killed in an ambush by the SLA at Oddusuddan yesterday. They were named as Geethan (Thanabalasingam Mathiyarasan of Jaffna) Thillainathan (Kathirgaamu Kirubakaran of Kilinochchi) Puratchi Alagan (Mannar Kenthiranathan Ketharan). Two other Tigers, Kalayarasan (Raveendran Satheeskumar of Jaffna) and Tharsan (Panchalingam Elilventhan of Jaffna) died in an accidental explosion in Mullaithivu yesterday while another LTTE member, Captain Ilakkiyan (Sinnathamby Suhanthan of Jaffna), died in another accidental explosion in the Vanni district yesterday.
