Three Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers were killed and another wounded in a claymore mine attack by the Liberation in the Manal Aaru (Weli Oya) region in the north-east of the island, the Voice of Tigers (VoT) radio said in its news bulletin Tuesday.

The Tigers Monday morning set off a claymore mine near SLA's forwards defence lines in Parakramapura, targeting a foot-patrol, the radio said.

Two T-56 assault riffles and medium range rounds were recovered by the attackers. The Tigers did not suffer any casualties, the radio added.
