“தமிழ்நெற்றில் இணைய முன்னர் பல புலி எதிர்ப்பு கட்டுரைகள் எழுதியவராமே சிவராம்”, என்று எம்மைச் சிலர் அவ்வப்போது வினவுவதுண்டு. இந்தக் கேள்வியை அவரை நாம் எம்மோடு இணைத்துக்கொண்ட 1997ஆம் ஆண்டிலும் சிலர் கேட்டார்கள். பின்னர் அவர்கள் அவ்வாறு கேட்பதை விட்டுவிட்டார்கள். இப்போது வேறு சிலர் கேட்கிறார்கள். தமிழ்நெற்றில் இணைந்த போதும் சரி, அதற்கு முதலும் சரி, பிறகும் சரி, கொழும்பில் இருந்து வெளிவரும் பத்திரிகைகள், சஞ்சிகைகளில் சிவராம் பல விடயங்களையும் வெளிப்படையாக எழுதி வந்தவர். வெளிப்படையாக எதிரித் தேசத்தின் தலைநகரில் இருந்து ஆங்கிலத்தில் எழுதினாலே அது தமிழ்த் தேசியத்துக்கு எதிரானதாகத் தான் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று சிலர் சில்லறைத்தனமாக நினைத்துவிடும் வழக்கம் உண்டு.

TNPF deploys ‘Federalism’ to dislodge Tamil Self-Determination and the Referendum call

When the now-defunct Tamil People’s Council (TPC) released its federal proposals in 2016, TamilNet warned that the draft risked diluting the Tamil national question under Colombo-centric constitutionalism and externally driven “solutions.” Nearly a decade later, those warnings warrant renewed scrutiny for a clear and concrete reason. The All Ceylon Tamil Congress, also known as the Tamil National Peoples’ Front (TNPF) and currently represented in Parliament by a single member, continues to uphold the TPC proposals as a valid political framework. At the same time, certain European institutions, often through externally funded initiatives, promote Belgian or Swiss models as templates for the island.
