Bomb hoax at Jaffna library

Sri Lankan security forces in Jaffna went on full alert this morning around 10 a.m. after receiving information that a powerful bomb had been planted in the premises of the newly opened Jaffna library.

An extensive search was carried out in the temporary premises of the library which was opened on January 14 by two powerful Sri Lankan ministers.

However, it was discovered following an extensive search in the library building and it's compound that the whole thing was a hoax.

Meanwhile TULF sources in Jaffna town said that the Jaffna Municipal Council will hold it's inaugural meeting on the March 4.
