Tigers, SLA exchange artillery fire - VoT

The Voice of Tigers (VoT) said this evening that from early morning yesterday till evening, the Liberation Tigers and the Sri Lankan Army had exchanged artillery and mortar fire in the Mankulam area. Kfir aircraft of the SLAF also bombed civilian areas in the Mankulam area, the radio said.

The radio also said that an LTTE fighter called Anpalahan (Alagan Sivapalan, Jaffna) died in a confrontation in Kilinochchi on Thursday.

Major Kuyilan (Jesuthasan Johns, Jaffna), Cpt. Jeyanthan (Marimuththu Visvalingam, Puliyankulam), Cpt. Sooriyan (Mylvaganam Chandran, Jaffna).

Meanwhile, the state owned TV station said today that there were confrontations between the SLA and the LTTE north of Murikandy and north of Olumadu, and that 3 Tigers were killed in these confrontations.
