Dissolution of Sri Lanka Parliament unethical - G.L

"The dissolution of Parliament is unethical", said Prof. G.L Pieris, spokesman for Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's care taker government addressing a press conference in Colombo Monday.

Prof. Pieris said his party would expose the President Chandrika Kumararunga's double standards and the contradictions between the JVP and her party.

He claimed that the President had promised the speaker in writing in 2002 that she would not dissolve the Parliament. The people cannot trust her words, he said.
