TNA leader to meet EU ambassadors in Colombo

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leader and the Secretary General of the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) Mr.R.Sampanthan is scheduled to meet the ambassadors of European countries in Colombo Tuesday around noon, TNA sources said.

The discussion is to be presided by the Ambassador of Netherlands for Sri Lanka. Netherlands is currently holding the presidentship of European Union (EU). The discussion will be held at the Netherlands Embassy in Colombo, sources said.

The discussion is expected to centre on several aspects of the current political situation in the country and particularly in the northeast province and also the arrangements made for voters in the Liberation Tigers held areas in the province, sources said.

Mr.Sampanthan said that he has not been satisfied with the arrangements made by the authorities concerned for LTTE held area voters to come and vote freely and without any restriction.
