SLA 'discovers' 3 dead bodies in Kodikamam

Three unidentified bodies with gun shot wounds, which included a woman's, were handed over by the police to the Jaffna Hospital yesterday said sources in Jaffna. The police, who said the bodies were discovered at Kodikamam, 22 km south of Jaffna town, received possession of the bodies from the Sri Lanka Army (SLA).

The hospital staff said that the woman seemed to be between 25 - 30 years old and clad in a skirt and blouse.

Meanwhile, Aiyampillai Sinnathurai (57) of Mallakam, near Palaly, north of Jaffna town, was injured in the left leg by an exploding mine when he was on his way to the nearby village of Punnalaikattuwan yesterday morning around 10.30 a.m., said sources. He was collecting firewood.
