TNA MP responds to the needs of Batticaloa village

Mr. S. Jeyanandamoorthy, the Tamil National Alliance member of parliament from the Batticaloa district, on Sunday visited Thuraineelavani, a village 29 km south of Batticaloa town, in the Manmunai division, to thank the constituents for electing him and to listen to the needs of the village, sources said.
Mr. V. Kogulan, an Engineer, Mr. S. Perinparajah, a teacher and journalist, and Mr. K. Sivakumar, a social services officer, explained the needs of the village in detail to the MP’s private secretary, Mr. Shan Thavarajah. In a quick follow-up, the MP met with the Batticaloa district municipal commissioner, Mr. M. Thayaparan, on Monday and explained the needs of the public library in Thuraineelavanai. As a result, a guarantee has been given that the library’s needs will be fulfilled immediately. Several organizations in the village, including the SEEDS organization, the Hindu youth council and the Murasoli dramatic group, have thanked the MP for his prompt action. Mr. Jeyanandamoorthy has also given the assurance that the Thuraineelavanai-Annamalai ferry service, which has not been operating for a long time, will be restarted soon, sources said.
