Wickremanayake rhetoric harmful- NLF

''Acting Defence Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake's
warning to the Liberation Tigers not to push the Government to war and
accusing the LTTE of continuing with killings and attacks on anti-LTTE
elements in the East and in Colombo in violation
of the Ceasefire Agreement (CFA) in place, is not conducive to
promoting a climate of peace,'' Mr Thirunavukkarasu, politburo
member of the New Left Front (NLF),
told TamilNet Tuesday
Mr.Thirunavukarasu said that the Minister can help by
directing the security authorities to apprehend the culprits
who committed the crimes in Government controlled areas instead
of issuing threats to the LTTE. ''Today the masses at large are thirsting for a durable peace
and an upliftment of their steadily falling living standards.
The Sri Lanka government should address the woes of the
general public and instead not try to conceal its incompetence
and bankruptcy by harmful rhetoric,'' Thirunavukarasu said.
