Jaffna DCC to meet next week

Jaffna District Co-ordinating Committee (DDC) will meet on September 17 and 18 to assess the progress of ongoing development projects and the implementation of proposed development projects in the Jaffna electoral district, district secretariat sources said.

Local heads of government departments and state corporations and heads of local government authorities have been invited to attend the two day discussion which is to held in Jaffna district secretariat.

Mr. Mavai Senathirajah, Tamil National Alliance senior parliamentarian representing the Jaffna electoral district is expected to preside over the meeting. All Jaffna district parliamentarians including Minister Mr. Douglas Devananda who is also a Jaffna district parliamentarian have been invited for the meeting, sources said.
