TNA awareness campaign in Trinco district put off

Three-day awareness campaign of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) , which
was scheduled to be held in the Trincomalee district on September 11,12 and
13, has been put off for a later date, TNA sources said Wednesday night.
At a discussion held in Kilinochchi between the TNA parliamentarians and
LTTE political head Mr.S.P.Thamilselvan three action groups were appointed
to promote awareness in the parliament, promote awareness in the south and
in northeast and advocacy in the diplomatic circles regarding the Interim
Self-Governing Authority proposals of the LTTE. Accordingly first awareness campaign was to be launched in the Trincomalee
district and thereafter in other districts. All the 22 TNA parliamentarians
agreed to visit Trincomalee on September 11,12 and 13 to conduct the
awareness campaign. Now it has been put off for a later date, TNA sources said.
