TRO supplies tractors to Killinochchi NGOs

Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) under its Accelerated Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Development Project Saturday handed over seven tractors on a loan scheme through Killinochchi Social Economic Development Bank (KSEDB) to local non-governmental organizations to strengthen their activities in the region.

Killinochchi Social Economic Development Bank organized the event.

Mr Chandru Pararajasingham, TRO's Colombo Office Director and Mr. Selvaretnam, London Representative of the TRO lit the traditional oil lamp at the commencement of the event held at KSED premises.Mr.Sriskandarajah, KSEDB Director presided.

TRO's Executive Director Mr.K. P.Reggie, Killinochchi Government Agent Mr. T.Rasanayagam and Chairman of Non-Governmental Organizations' Consortium Mr.Kaneshapillai delivered keynote addresses. Thereafter Mr. Rasanayakam handed over documents related to tractors to Poonagary Development Rehabilitation Organization (PDRO), Mr. Reggie to Rural Rehabilitation Development Organization (RRDO) and Mr.Kaneshapillai to the Working Women Development Organization (WWDO).
