LTTE delegation to leave for Europe

A high level delegation of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) led by its political head S.P.Thamilchelvan is scheduled to leave on a three-week visit to European countries on Wednesday through Katunayake International Airport (KIA). The delegation is expected hold discussions with legal and constitutional expert who formulated the Interim Self Government Authority
proposals (ISGA), sources said. The team will also meet Government officials of several European countries during the tour.
The delegation comprising of Head of Thamileelam Police, Mr.P.Nadesan, Head of Judiciary, Mr.Para, Secretary General of LTTE Peace Secretariat, Mr.Pulithevan, and
Amparai-Batticaloa Political Head Mr.Kausalyan is expected to arrive Colombo Tuesday night from Killinochchi, Vanni sources said. LTTE delegation will stay in Geneva for a week from October 1st. The delegation is expected to meet officials of the Swiss Foreign Ministry and UNHCR. Later they are expected to meet the United Nations Human Rights Commission and ICRC officials. The delegation is expected to leave for Oslo where it will meet Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Vidar Helgessen and special peace envoy Mr. Eric Solheim on October 07,
sources said. The itinerary of the LTTE delegation includes the visit to Ireland, Denmark and Switzerland, sources said.
