LTTE delegation bound for Holland

Delegation of Liberation Tigers will be travelling to Holland Sunday for meetings with Dutch Government officials, sources close to the delegation told TamilNet. The LTTE delegation is currently on a tour of European countries and are completing a three-day stay in Vienna, Austria, following their arrival in Geneva Switzerland on 1st October.
 On Friday, the LTTE delegation, led by Head of LTTE Political Wing, S.P.Thamilchelvan, met with Mr. George Lennkh, Director General, Department for Development Co-operation, and Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs. "Mr. Lennkh expressed the Austrian government interest in the Sri Lankan peace process and encouraged the LTTE Political Head to work hard in the direction of taking forward the stalled peace process and stressed the importance of addressing humanitarian needs of the people in a post conflict situation especially after a long drawn out war," said LTTE peace secretariat website on the meeting. The report further said that, "the LTTE team attended a seminar conducted by Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution at Stadtschalaining Burg sponsored by the Austrian ministry of Foreign Affairs. The first of the sessions in the seminar was by Ms. Gudrun Kramer, the Centre's Co-ordinator followed by a lengthy in depth study in peace making disseminated by Dr. Aljandra Bendana of Managua, Nicaragua."
