Hatton blast: Rs 1 million of damageThe bomb blasts at Hatton in the Nuwara Eliya District early this morning have destroyed the two transformers and new equipment is to be installed in their place, said sources in Hatton. The damage is estimated at one million rupees. About 2 or 3 kg of explosives were used, said the sources. No other details have been issued by the police. Earlier the police said it could not rule out the possibility of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) being responsible for the bombing.
