Norwegian ambassador meets Thamilchelvan

Mr.Hans Brattskar, Norwegian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Saturday met with Head of LTTE Politicial Wing S.P Thamilchelvan at the LTTE Peace Secretariat, sources in Kilinochchi said. The Ambassador expressed his Government's concern and condemnation over the killing LTTE political cadres in the east, during the meeting and when he later met with journalists in Killinochchi, sources said.
Mr.Brattskar arrived in Killinochchi by a special SLAF
helicopter Saturday morning and was received by Mr.Pulithevan, Head of LTTE Peace Secretariat, sources said. The discussions commenced around 10.45
a.m. and lasted for about ninety minutes, sources said. Pulidevan and Head of Tamil Eelam Police, Mr Nadesan joined Thamilchelvan to the meeting.
Talking to the journalists after the meeting, Mr Brattsakar said that he had not brought any proposal from the Government of Sri Lanka regarding the matter of establishing a joint
mechanism to implement tsunami relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction programme in the northeast. On the resumption of peace talks, the Norwegian Ambassador said he has not been informed of any new development by the GOSL on the matter, sources said.
