Japanese delegation to visit Sri Lanka

A Japanese Government delegation on Tsunami disaster, Consisting of 32 experts from 12 ministries will visit Sri Lanka this week, according to a press release issued by Embassy of Japan in Colombo, Monday.
Following is the full text of the press release: "A Japanese Government delegation on Tsunami disaster, consisting of 32 experts from twelve Ministries, led by Mr. Tatsuo Hamaguchi, Director-General National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will visit Sri Lanka from 17th to 20th March 2005. "These experts from various Japanese Government Ministries play a major role in the Japan's system established to deal with natural and industrial disasters in a coordinated and effective manner. "During their visit to Sri Lanka they will share their vast knowledge and experience with Sri Lankan counterparts during a meeting and will discuss matters related to establishing an effective Disaster Management System in Sri Lanka. "They will also visit tsunami-affected areas in the South and East to inspect and assess the magnitude of the disaster and current situation in these affected areas."
